You should have permission. Is it giving you an error message or something?

The standard "new topic" or "reply" buttons don't even show up. I'm able to read/look, but can't do anything else otherwise.

note to admins who may have this problem in the future: go to the member page, click Account Related Settings and use the dropdown to add them to the Staff Members group

Was there some sort of mistake, or am I really an admin for the forums now?

(Because I have an admin tab at the top and apparently I've been given the ability to approve members. Is this just an editor's option that I've overlooked?)

Uhh, it should be. Your permissions are just listed as "editor," not administrator.

By the way, somebody take administrative control away from me lest I grow drunk with power and abuse it.
